Snuffalufagus Fatdog Forbes

This is Snuffles. He was my daddy's dog and when my daddy died in december, my mom let him come spend some time with us when she wasn't home. Well, it didn't take long for us to fall in love with him and he's been at our house ever since. My daddy loved this dog, and Snuffles sure did love daddy too. He would follow him around no matter where he went and now he does jonathan the same way, and sometimes me too. Peyton loves to tell him to "speak" and throw things at him. Rilei likes to talk to him and make him howl. Jonathan just loves anything he does. I think it is so easy for me to love him because my dad loved him so much and he was with my dad when he was really sick. Who wouldn't love that face!

A Day at the Park

On Saturday, we decided to get the girls out of the house and go to the park. We had a lot of fun playing on the slides and climbing. Peyton enjoyed climbing until she fell on the cement bleachers. She got a huge goose egg on her forehead and scraped her nose and lip. Her bottom teeth cut her bottom lip too. A short while later she was just as happy as before. If you notice, her hair is sticking straight up from the static of the slide. Rilei had a good time playing with her sissy and snuffles. Rilei also helped her daddy put a net on the basketball court, it was really scary to her. Snuffles was just happy to be out of the house.

Peyton Eats Noodles :-)

Peyton really likes ramen noodles. She was in the kitchen by herself eating and when I came back in, this is what I found. She looks like she was really enjoying herself! She picked the bowl up and pretended to be drinking from it. There was nothing left in the bowl because it was all over the high chair, the floor, her head and in her diaper!

Daddy's Birthday at the Beach

On daddy's birthday, we all went to the beach to celebrate. His favorite place was the beach and he really wanted to be there to celebrate his 62nd birthday. We spent the entire weekend there and had a picnic on Saturday (9/15/07). I baked daddy a cake and we had hotdogs and chips. Rilei, Peyton and Dixie enjoyed playing on the swings at the park and so did I! We had a great time just hanging out and taking pictures.

Carolina Game Day

It's carolina game day!! It's not just any game, it's the carolina vs. duke game. Jonathan couldn't wait to dress his girls up for game day. Peyton had on Rilei's old cheer dress and rilei had on one of daddy's hats. He went to the grocery store and he had to take them with him so everyone could see his girls :-)

Smile Peyton!

Peyton is such a happy girl. She loves to smile and this is how she does it. I love this baby with all my heart! Her personality is just like her daddy's, a jokester. She knows she's funny and she does things just so people will laugh at her.

Walking Dixie

Dixie Ree is walking already!!! She will be one year old on March 23, 2008. She seems to small to be doing so much. I love this little angel with all my heart. I remember the moment my phone rang in the waiting room of the hospital and they told me she was born. I cried and couldn't wait to get in the room to see her. When I did see her, i just wanted to pick her up and kiss her lips off. She was so tiny, it seemed. She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. which is only one ounce smaller than Peyton was when she was born. Peyton did not seem so small. Dixie has grown very fast and is extremely smart. I do love her almost as much as I love her mama ;-) maybe just as much! Those beautiful blue eyes remind me of Angel's and most everything else about her reminds me of her Daddy.

Santa Brings Butterscotch

Rilei wanted butterscotch the horse for Christmas for 2 years in a row. That horse was $259.99. Santa could not afford that horse. Rilei went into a pet store about 2 weeks before Christmas and saw a hamster that was the same color as butterscotch the horse. She couldn't wait to see santa to ask him to bring her a hamster. Luckily, santa found a hamster that was exactly like the one Rilei had seen in the pet store. When she woke up Christmas morning, she was so excited to see that hamster. She named her "Butterscotch" and it only took her about 2 minutes to bite Rilei's finger and make her bleed all over my kitchen floor and me. It was so funny and not so funny all at the same time.

A Christmas to Remember

Chirstmas 2007 will definitely be a christmas for our family to remember. It was the last christmas with my daddy. I hope that Rilei and Peyton will remember how wonderful he was and of course, how much their "Papa" loved them. We had such a wonderful time Christmas eve. Daddy said it was the best one he's ever had. He was so excited about it and he insisted that he be a part of our girls and Dixie opening their gifts on Christmas morning. Mama brought him over to our house at 7 a.m. on Christmas Day. Cindy, Angel, Baker and Dixie came over about the same time. I cooked breakfast for him and he ate like usual, a whole lot! I enjoyed spending this time with him as did everyone else. He watched as we all opened our santa gifts and then he went home.
